Job Description: 

 

We are seeking a skilled Integration Developer with expertise in EDIFACT file transformation (for courier/ shipping consignments) and strong coding skills in JavaScript. As an Integration Developer, you will be responsible for translating and modifying received EDIFACT files into a JavaScript-friendly format to integrate with a third-party system, enabling seamless data exchange and streamlining business operations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business analysis skills, and a solid coding background. 

 
Responsibilities: 

• Analyze and understand EDIFACT file formats, specifically EFTMIN and EFTSTA, and their corresponding data structures. 

• Develop efficient and reliable JavaScript code to transform and map EDIFACT files into a format compatible with the target system. 

• Collaborate closely with the business analysis team to gather requirements, identify integration needs, and translate them into technical specifications. 

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of the code to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with business requirements. 

• Work closely with multiple stakeholders from international locations to gather inputs, provide updates, and address integration-related queries. 

• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed diagrams, to facilitate understanding and maintain system integrity. 

• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to optimize integration processes. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices related to integration technologies, standards, and protocols.

Requirements: 

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript programming language, including experience with data manipulation and transformation. 

• Solid understanding of EDIFACT file structures and their associated segments, fields, and data types (specifically EFTMIN and EFTSTA). 

• Proven experience with business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating business needs into technical specifications. 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data transformation and coding. 

• Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise technical documents and diagrams. 

• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including international contacts, to drive successful integration projects. 

• Familiarity with integration platforms and tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO, Azure Logic Apps) is preferred. 

• Experience working with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, is highly desirable. 

• Knowledge of Angular or Node.js is a plus, as it will enhance the ability to work with modern JavaScript frameworks and server-side JavaScript environments. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js development.
