Job Description: 
 
We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientated accounts officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing budgets, ensuring accurate accounting records, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments, especially for school projects and future educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities: 
 
1. Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping  

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.  

  • Assist in processing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).  

  • Manage complete books of accounts for schools and educational institutions. 

  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. 

  • Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations 
     

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis  

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.  

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.  

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 

  • Generate financial reports for management review.  
     

3. Compliance & Auditing  

  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, tax laws, and company policies.  

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.  
     

4. Budgeting & Expense Monitoring  

  • Support budget preparation and expense tracking.  

  • Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.  
     

5. Payroll & Taxation Support  

  • Assist in payroll processing and tax calculations.  

  • Support in filing GST, TDS, and other statutory obligations as required. 
     

Required Skills & Qualifications:  


Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  
 

Technical Skills:   

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).  

  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation laws.

Experience: 2–4 years (schools / educational institutions preferred) 

​

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.  

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced IT service environment.  

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.  
     

Preferred Qualifications:  

Certification in accounting (CA Inter, CPA, or CMA) is a plus.
