Role Summary:

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee daily business operations, project management, and client engagements across multiple departments. This role merges the responsibilities of operations leadership, business analysis, and project management to ensure peak productivity, high-quality delivery, and strong stakeholder communication.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead and manage day-to-day business operations ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

  • Drive efficiency, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure timely execution of projects.

  • Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular analysis to identify gaps and implement improvements.

  • Track operational KPIs and report performance to senior leadership.

Project & Program Management

  • Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of IT and business projects.

  • Utilize tools like Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or MS Project to track progress.

  • Implement Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies as needed.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct update meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Translate client requirements into functional specifications and ensure delivery expectations are met.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Analysis & Estimation

  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with clients.

  • Document BRDs, FRDs, and User Stories.

  • Work with technical teams to estimate efforts and prepare quotations.

  • Analyze industry trends and competitive solutions.

Team & Skills Management

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, QA testers.

  • Maintain skill inventory and coordinate with HR for hiring and internal training needs.

  • Resolve team conflicts, guide staff, and ensure productivity.

  • Mentor and support team members across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 4–6+ years of relevant experience in operations, project management, or business analysis.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and teams in a service-based environment.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

  • Familiarity with tech stacks such as MEAN, MERN, JavaScript and Python, is a plus.

  • Proficient with project management and productivity tools.

  • Financial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost tracking.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  • Aptitude in conflict management and business negotiation.

 

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP, CSM, CSPO, CBAP, or equivalent certifications.
